Mendoza, a city in western Argentina nestled at the base of the Andes mountain range, is one of the country’s largest urban centers. Its metropolitan area, known as Greater Mendoza, boasts a population of over one million people.

In this beautiful Andean city, Generando Puentes works with children in vulnerable situations, many of whom are living on the streets. However, due to intense police and community pressure, many of these children avoid public spaces and remain in remote neighborhoods.

With the support of the methodology and experience provided by StreetSmart, the team at Generando Puentes received a new mobile school. This innovative educational tool allows them to bring educational and recreational activities directly to underserved communities, such as the Castro settlement and Plaza Arístides.

The mobile school now enables street educators to organize activities tailored to the specific needs of each community. During its first sessions, children participated enthusiastically in games, activities, and lessons, fostering learning, discovery, and, most importantly, joy.

Behind this project is a dedicated and passionate team committed to making a difference. The mobile school is now being deployed in impoverished neighborhoods, where children rarely get to experience their right to play and have fun. Thanks to this innovative initiative, the mobile school provides over two hours of entertainment and learning during each visit, bringing hope and happiness to the different neighborhoods of Mendoza.
